Contraception and Sexual Protection

We provide a variety of sexual health products to students at no cost through a Columbia/Boone County Health Department grant. You can pick up these products at the following locations:

You can also order sexual health products online and pick up your order at the Wellness Resource Center (G202 MU Student Center). Student organizations, fraternities and sororities, Residential Life student staff, campus offices, and other university-affiliated groups can place free bulk orders for sexual health products to distribute.

To learn more about how to effectively use these products, check out the contraceptive options module and the sexually transmitted infections (STI) prevention module in Canvas (login required).

HIV PrEP and PEP

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), which is taken daily, or post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), which is taken after a specific high-risk exposure to HIV, can help prevent infection in HIV negative people. Schedule a medical care appointment to discuss HIV PrEP and PEP.

HPV vaccine (Gardasil)

Gardasil is recommended for everyone between the ages of 9-26 and helps prevent genital warts, cervical cancer and other HPV-associated cancers. Schedule a medical care appointment to discuss Gardasil.
