Student Health Insurance Plan
Mizzou offers a Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) for students that need or want their own health insurance coverage while at Mizzou.
Learn more or enroll in the SHIP by visiting United Healthcare Student Resources and selecting University of Missouri – Columbia.
Students are encouraged to check their email regularly for important information and instructions regarding enrollment or re-enrollment each term.
Billing Your Insurance
Due to the cost of providing healthcare, we do bill for our services however we work with students to ensure cost is not a barrier to care. We’ve provided some quick resources below however; you can schedule a visit with one of our patient account team members by calling 573-882-7481 or emailing umhsin@health.missouri.edu before or after your visit and we can help you every step of the way.

Almost always available however may stretch a little further during sick season or other rare occasions.

Preventative Health Management
Preventative Health Management including verification of immunization compliance for enrollment and holds, free annual flu shot and free annual STI screening.

On-Site Psychiatric Services
On-site Psychiatric Services (up to 4 visits free per semester if needed).
