STI and HIV testing

Untreated sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can cause reproductive system damage and be life threatening, but many don’t have immediate symptoms.

If you’re sexually active, get tested at least once per year. It’s also a good idea to get tested with every new partner, if you had unprotected sex, if you had protected sex but the condom broke, if you had sex with someone who had an STI, or if you or a partner do have symptoms.
