Student Health Center is the place to go when you’re not feeling well. Regardless of the challenges you face, the professionals at the Student Health Center will provide you with convenient, quality, confidential care — usually with same-day appointments.

Prepare to Call for Your Appointment

    You’ll be asked what you’re needing to be seen for and if you’ve been seen at the Student Health Center before.

  2. 2 in gold circle

    You’ll be asked to provide or confirm the following information:

    • Legal name
    • Preferred name
    • Billing address (often a parent or family address is provided)
    • Local address (such as a residence hall or apartment complex)
    • Demographic information (gender, race, ethnicity, etc.)
    • Guarantor information (this will be the person who accepts financial responsibility to pay the patient’s bill. This could be a parent, guardian or family member).
  3. 3 in gold circle

    You will be asked about your insurance, but you will not need your insurance card until your appointment (the insurance card can be a physical or digital copy).

    You will discuss availability with our phone staff and set up a date and time for the appointment that works with your schedule.

    Our phone staff will walk you through what to prepare for your appointment and you can ask questions you have.

Getting Sick Happens

Understand the Student Health Center’s approach to written excuses for academics. Timely communication with your instructors is key to managing your responsibilities when you are too sick or injured to attend class.

Understand Your Symptoms

If you have any of the following, call for an appointment:

  • Fever over 101 degrees or remains over 100 degrees for two days
  • Productive cough
  • Breathing difficulty
  • Chest pain
  • Other severe symptoms

If you’re tired, have a stuffy nose or a sore throat, use this our symptom check to figure out if it’s a cold, the flu or something else.

Parking Information

While our new facility is easily walkable for students on campus, 6 accessible parking spots are available on the east side of the building. You may be ticketed when parking but please present parking violation to the front desk of the Student Health Center for the office to dispute the charge.
