Mental Health Topics
The Counseling Center provides education, resources and training on a variety of topics related to mental health, including taking thoughtful action to help others, connecting with specialized support and building a community where every Tiger experiences belonging and thriving mental health. Our offerings can be tailored for a student, faculty or staff audience, and can be delivered by our professional staff or Well-Being Peer Educators. Nurturing My Wellness
Every Tiger deserves to be a part of conversations about mental health, connect with resources that support their unique needs and build practical skills that help them care for themselves. Nurturing My Wellness (NMW) can help you do just that. By providing specialized mental health support through outreach initiatives and programs, NMW creates a space for students, faculty and staff to discover the support they need.
See. Say. Do.
At Mizzou, we empower campus members with the skills they need to intervene in challenging moments. See. Say. Do. is a training designed to help you See the signs of mental and emotional distress, Say something compassionate and ask questions that will help you better understand someone’s distress and Do something to connect someone with support and care for yourself. This training will equip you with practical skills that you can implement in your courses, events, meetings and more to be a lifeline for Tigers in need.
